The team

We are a team of engineers and scientists from multidisciplinary fields, combining expertise with the solemn purpose of producing high-tech bioprinting technologies towards realistic 3D human tissues.

Denise Zujur

PhD

Experience in stem cell technology, biomaterials, drug development, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.

Along with academic experience, Dr. Zujur has a broad understanding of the current needs of the biomedical industry.

Kohei Katsurasako

BA

Solid background in business development, negotiation, and international relations.

His experiences in cultural exchange programs, and business development allowed him to have a deeper understanding of Japanese and Asia business culture. Kohei is currently working in Smart Tissues to expand its business in Japan and to build-up new business relations in Asian countries.

Ysmaldo Landaez

MSc

Solid background on electronics engineering with specialization in motion control. This expertise is important to tackle the limitations of the existing 3D bioprinting technology such as the poor precision to reproduce the virtual model, and complex interfaces for the user.

Gustavo Rosales

PhD

Long and withstanding experience in material science, novel materials development, characterization methods and scientific project management.

 Gustavo is helping Smart Tissues to find novel material technologies and establishing strategic scientific partnerships that will allow Smart Tissues to expand their spectrum of products, technologies and business fields.

Her deep understanding of polymer sciences allows her to design and synthesize hydrogels and biomaterials used in a broad range of bioprinting applications.
